Auction House on Forever Beta rounds up the deposit fee
30.09.2026On the World of Warcraft: Forever beta, posting an auction deducts a higher deposit than stated: for cheap items the game takes 1 silver instead of the copper it should, while expensive items may lose an extra pair of copper on top. Players on the test servers have reproduced the bug; Blizzard has not commented.
What's happening
When posting an auction with a deposit below 1 silver, the game still takes 1 silver. For expensive items, there may be a few extra copper on top of the stated amount.
Who confirmed
Players on Forever test servers have reproduced the bug. Blizzard hasn't commented on it yet — neither in blue posts nor in the known issues list.
Why it matters
The auction house is one of the most-used systems in Classic+: reagents, crafted items, and loot pass through it. If the deposit is calculated incorrectly, the seller loses money every time they post an auction, and the buyer whose auction was bought out receives the deposit already rounded. On large deposits, the extra copper adds up to noticeable sums.
