The Undead, also called the Forsaken, keep Will of the Forsaken, which removes charm, fear and sleep effects, along with Cannibalize, which restores health and mana, and Underwater Breathing. A new passive, Touch of the Grave, sometimes drains health with attacks. The October 1 development notes prevent Cannibalize from being used while the caster is immune to physical damage.

The new class for the Undead is the Paladin, one of Blizzard's six new race and class combinations. In the Forsaken paladin's first class quest, the Light damages the paladin, and developer Josh "Aggrend" Greenfield confirmed this is intended.
