Blizzard updated the known issues list for the World of Warcraft: Forever beta — September 24
24.09.2026A new 'Known Issues' post from Blizzard: some of September's bugs have shipped a fix, but new ones have appeared — from broken cooldown tracking to being moved between server 'worlds' when your group composition changes.
What happened
On September 24, 2026 at 17:32 UTC (20:32 MSK), Blizzard posted a new list of known issues for the open beta of World of Warcraft: Forever on the Forever Codex forum. Some of the bugs from the September 18 list have shipped a fix — either already patched, or going out in the next build. But new ones have appeared in parallel: problems with cooldown tracking, the interface, and even with being moved between server "worlds" (instances) when the group composition changes.
The list is filed under build 70009 — so this isn't "everything that's broken," but a current snapshot of what Blizzard has publicly acknowledged and plans to fix in upcoming builds.
What's already fixed
Two issues from the September 18 list are already closed or will land in the next build:
- Teldrassil. During the "Escaping Ban'ethil" quest, Sentinel Linesa Duskblossom moved too fast and spammed the Strike ability without pause. The fix will ship in the next build.
- Loch Modan. The "Snowbound" quest was granting more XP than intended. The balance will be tweaked in the next build.
New known issues (September 24)
The new batch of bugs is noticeably broader — interface, classes, and the server itself:
- Curses aren't tracked correctly if you drop a target and re-target the same one that already has the effect on it.
- Healthstone doesn't show its cooldown.
- Priest tracks all spells by default instead of the intended set.
- Arcane Blast isn't tracked.
- Mage Mana Gem requires any spell to be cast again before the system starts tracking its cooldown.
- Changing group composition can move players to another server "world" (instance). Blizzard acknowledges the issue and promises improvements.
- Pet cooldowns aren't tracked.
- Weapon procs (such as Windfury or Rogue poisons) aren't tracked.
- Stormwind minimap displays with visual glitches — to be fixed in an upcoming build.
- Personal Resource Display doesn't show combo points.
What this means for you
- If you're in the beta — expect cooldown tracking fixes first (Healthstone, pets, Mana Gem) and the Stormwind minimap. These are "you can live with it, but it's annoying" bugs that usually get fixed quickly.
- If you play Priest or Mage — the list is especially relevant for you: Priest spell tracking and the Mage Mana Gem quirk require manual workarounds and will most likely be patched in upcoming builds.
- If you play in a group — after your group composition changes, check whether you've been moved to another server "world" (instance). If you have, just head back to the zone and regroup.
- If you're just following the beta — these lists come out regularly, and they're a handy way to track what Blizzard has already acknowledged as broken and plans to fix in upcoming builds — as opposed to "working as intended."
