Blizzard raises Forever beta server cap once again

On September 28, Blizzard once again raised the player cap on World of Warcraft: Forever beta realms. They also fixed a bug that, after a disconnect, sent characters back to the end of the general login queue.
What happened
Executive producer Holly Longdale shared the news about the cap increase. Blizzard did not specify the exact numbers or what allowed the cap to grow. For players, this means getting into the beta — and staying in it — is now easier: less chance of hitting a "realm is full" message on login and less time spent in the queue during peak hours.
A separate annoyance was patched out: previously, if the game client lost its connection (crash, disconnect, network drop), the character ended up back in the general login queue when you tried to return — even if you had already been playing and had been logged in for a long time. Now these "back to the end of the line" returns should be a thing of the past.
Context
The World of Warcraft: Forever beta runs from September 17 through October 21, 2026. Blizzard has been opening access in waves from the very start, and the cap has been raised several times since the beta began. This latest bump is the next step in that process.
In practice
- Logging into the beta should take noticeably less time, especially in the evenings and on weekends.
- If your client crashes or your internet dies, you can safely log back in without ending up in the general queue as if you were a brand-new player.
- Blizzard hasn't announced a specific new ceiling, so go by your own wait time in the client: if the queue popped up reliably before, now it should either be gone or noticeably shorter.
