Beta testers have found the Black Market Auction House in World of Warcraft: Forever — a feature that first appeared in Mists of Pandaria and has since remained a retail-only system. Everything here is bid-only: whoever offers the most by the end of the auction walks away with the lot.

Where to find it

The Black Market sits in Powderfuse Port — a goblin outpost on the eastern edge of Riverglades, one of the four new zones in the beta. Look for Madam Swyndle — she runs the auctions. Mister Graphed stands nearby with his own reagents and crafting goods; he has nothing to do with the Black Market. Powderfuse Port is also one of the new flight points in Riverglades, so coming back for lots is easy.

How it works

No 'buy now' button: you place a bid, other players can top you, and the lot goes to the highest bidder when the auction ends. Lots rotate in the beta just as they do on retail — the available items and starting prices depend on what's currently on offer.

What's for sale and at what price

Starting prices depend on the type of lot. Four categories are visible in the beta:

In practice

TCG items can't be obtained through normal play in WoW — according to the source, the Black Market is likely the only way to acquire them in the Forever client.

Right now the system lives only on the beta — Blizzard has confirmed neither the list of lots, nor the prices, nor the mechanic itself for release. All of this may change before launch.
