Forever datamine, October 1: changes for druid, hunter, mage, and paladin
01.10.2026On October 1, dataminers dug up talent and ability tweaks for four classes — druid, hunter, mage, and paladin — in the Forever beta files. These aren't Blizzard-confirmed changes: the numbers and wording can still shift before the November 4 release.
On October 1, several class changes surfaced in the Forever beta files: dataminers read out tweaks to druid, hunter, mage, and paladin. These aren't blue posts or patch notes — it's a build-file discovery that Blizzard hasn't commented on yet. The numbers and wording can still change before the November 4, 2026 release.
Druid. Moonkin Form got a noticeable rework: armor contribution from gear is now +360%, all allies within 45 meters gain +3% critical strike chance, and the old "Moonkin doesn't heal" rule stays. The Feral tree has a new talent, Improved Shifting Power (reduces the matching ability's cooldown by 4–8 sec), and a reworked King of the Jungle — Tiger's Fury now instantly grants 20–60 Energy. Combat forms are sturdier: Bear Form — +120 melee attack power, +180% armor from gear, +180 health; Dire Bear Form — +210 melee attack power, +360% armor, +1560 health. Gloves now get a Mangle rune — a bite dealing 100% + 26 damage with high threat. Wild Growth at max rank heals the group for 769 over 7 seconds within 43.5 meters.
Hunter. In the Marksmanship tree, Improved Stings got buffed — Serpent Sting damage +20%, Viper Sting cooldown reduced by 6 sec, Scorpid Sting duration +45 sec. Sniper Shot now deals 160 damage at the lowest rank and 295 at the highest, and for 10 seconds increases the range of the next three shots by 10 meters — that range-bonus effect didn't exist before. Trueshot Aura on a group within 45 yards now gives 30 or 40 ranged attack power. The Survival tree gained Lacerating Strikes — Mongoose Bite now applies a bleed to the target for 21 sec (40% of damage dealt); Predator's Edge grants up to 30% bonus melee critical damage and up to 50% bonus off-hand weapon damage.
Mage. The Hot Streak talent has been renamed Heating Up: non-periodic critical strikes from Fireball, Frostfire Bolt, Fire Blast, and Scorch grant the Hot Streak effect for 20 seconds, which reduces the cast time of the next Pyroblast by 25% (stacks up to 3 times). A new rune for mage helms has been added with the same rules.
Paladin. Light's Vigil is applied to a target for 30 seconds; the next Holy Shock on it triggers with no cooldown, deals 175–189 Holy damage to enemies, returns 75% of mana, or heals a group of allies for 326–344. Only one Light's Vigil per group. In the Protection tree, Holy Shield now grants a 30% block chance (up from 20%) and deals 110 Holy damage per block.
