After the latest World of Warcraft: Forever beta build, Australian players see a warning at login that their social features are blocked. Blizzard has confirmed: it's a bug, no real restrictions, and a fix is on the way.

On October 1, 2026, shortly after installing the new World of Warcraft: Forever beta build, Australian testers began receiving a system dialog at login claiming their account's social features were blocked. For a player it looks like a death sentence — guilds, friends, the trade channel and plenty more stop working under such a restriction. In practice there was no block: it was a false message, caused by a bug in the new build. Blizzard confirmed there are no restrictions on the account.

Community manager Kaivax clarified the situation in a blue post on the Blizzard forum the same day and promised a fix. Short quote: «This is not the case, of course. We'll get the bug fixed as soon as possible» — meaning Blizzard is directly saying there is no block, and the dialog appeared in error because of the new build.
