Druids at level 20 can't get Cat Form — one of the quest's objectives is glitched. Players have been stuck on this quest for weeks, even though it should unlock a key stealth ability.

How the quest works

Druids unlock Bear Form at level 10, but Cat Form waits until level 20 — and comes through a dedicated quest. Each druid race has its own version: night elves, tauren, and trolls each get different quests, but the objectives match. According to the community, the quests in question have IDs 98396, 98342, and 98404.

The objective is the same in all cases: collect three ancient relics hidden in stone statues inside Ragefire Chasm. That's exactly where players run into trouble.

What's broken

When you try to "pick up" the relic, your character gets a system message saying the loot isn't available. Players have noticed that the quest item only drops if a single character interacts with the statue — if anyone else is standing nearby, nobody gets the loot.

Because of this, queues of druids form near the relics, waiting for their turn to click. On top of that, some players deliberately click the statues to ruin the quest for others. Players describe what's happening as targeted griefing: the same character keeps blocking the pickup, and technically it's not against the rules.

The topic is being discussed on Reddit and on Blizzard's official forums: both sources agree that the quest is currently mass-uncompletable. As of publication, there are no hotfixes or blue posts addressing the issue.

What this means for you

• If you're playing a druid and have hit level 20 — getting Cat Form right now is almost impossible. Expect to either wait for a fix or find a quieter time to run the quest.
• If you're planning to level in a group — don't pick up the quest with company: the more people around the statue, the smaller the chance of getting the drop.
