Players ask Blizzard to buff dwarf racial abilities in Forever
30.09.2026In late September 2026, players on Reddit and on Blizzard's official forum separately asked to buff dwarf racial abilities in World of Warcraft: Forever. One of the suggestions is a new "treasure hunting" ability: for an hour after opening a chest, mobs drop profession reagents and mini-chests with gear.
Dwarves are one of the playable races in World of Warcraft: Forever, but, as players have noticed, they are rarely picked: their racial abilities affect gameplay less than those of other races. In late September 2026, two players independently reached out to Blizzard to ask for that to change.
— On 29 September, a post titled 'Please buff dwarf racials' appeared on Reddit (r/wowforever) — a short request without details. — On 30 September, a thread called 'Dwarf racial' opened on Blizzard's US official forum with a concrete proposal: let Blizzard add a 'treasure hunting' ability to dwarves. The mechanic: after a dwarf opens an unopened chest, they receive a one-hour buff — regular mobs of their level start dropping profession reagents and mini-chests with gear. The author believes that at level 60 such an ability would make dwarves noticeably more popular.
The discussion is still at the player level: on neither Reddit nor the Blizzard forum have developers left any comments. These are requests, not announcements of changes — Blizzard can take them on board or ignore them.
There's still time before the release of Forever: the beta runs until 21 October 2026, and the full launch is on 4 November at 23:00 UTC (5 November at 02:00 MSK).
