Forever beta: level cap raised to 30

Blizzard will raise the maximum level in the World of Warcraft: Forever open beta from 20 to 30 — for that, on the morning of October 1 Pacific time, the servers will go offline for several hours.

The World of Warcraft: Forever beta will receive a new build with the level cap raised from 20 to 30. The open beta has been running since September 17; community manager Kaivax announced the changes in a blue post on September 30.

On the morning of October 1 Pacific time (afternoon in Moscow time), Blizzard will take the beta offline for maintenance. A few hours later, the servers will return with an updated build that includes changes and fixes. The main change is that the maximum level will go up from 20 to 30.

Blizzard will publish all the details about the contents of the new build separately, once the beta is back up. For now, only the cap raise and the maintenance itself are publicly known.

In practice

  • With the cap at 30, levels 21–30 will become available in the beta, along with their quests, abilities, and zones.
  • During the maintenance, the beta will be unavailable — keep that in mind when planning your evening.
  • Blizzard will publish the list of changes and fixes separately.
