Blizzard starts banning gold buyers in Forever beta — streamer Payo among the first hit

01.10.2026

In the WoW: Forever beta, Blizzard has applied sanctions against gold buyers for real money for the first time: streamer Payo lost his account. These are the first public punishments since the announcement of the strict anti-RMT policy.

The World of Warcraft: Forever beta runs from September 17 to October 21, 2026, and Blizzard has for the first time applied the promised sanctions against selling gold for real money (RMT — Real Money Trading). Among the first hit is streamer Payo: his beta account has been banned.

Sanctions are already being applied in the beta — before the game launches. There's more than a month until release: the beta ends October 21, the full launch is November 4 at 23:00 UTC (November 5 at 02:00 MSK).
