Demand for the World of Warcraft: Forever closed beta has outpaced Blizzard's plans: the company has had to scale up server capacity twice in just a few days.

The World of Warcraft: Forever beta launched on 17 September, and Blizzard has already expanded the test servers for the second time in recent days. The first wave of slots filled almost immediately, and the additional capacity was claimed just as quickly. Several community observers note that the company is scaling up again, and the interest in the project is visible beyond the beta itself: with the launch underway, part of the audience is leaving other Classic servers.

The rush is notable on its own, but even more so because beta access is being sold for money — a Blizzard decision that has sparked plenty of debate in the community. The demand itself shows that the Classic+ model is generating genuine interest even among players who usually skip early access purchases.

Blizzard has not announced any new end date for the beta: testing is officially scheduled to run until 21 October, with the full launch set for 4 November 2026 at 23:00 UTC (5 November at 02:00 MSK). The server expansion means one thing for now — getting into the beta is easier than it was in the first days.
