A bug has been found in the Forever beta: the escort quests for the Defias Traitor and Corporal Keeshan won't be offered if you already have 20 active quests — even though the cap was raised to 40.

World of Warcraft: Forever's beta raised the active quest cap from 20 to 40 — a change players had asked for. But it looks like part of the code didn't get the memo.

A player on the European Blizzard forums noticed a pattern: the escort quests "The Defias Traitor" in Westfall and "Corporal Keeshan" in Redridge can't be accepted once your log already holds 20 or more quests. The NPC still offers the quest, but the accept button does nothing. Drop a few quests — down to exactly twenty — and the escort accepts without a hitch. So it's not the NPCs themselves, but an old limit check that's still watching the old "twenty" mark.

According to the player, the bug only affects the party member who didn't initiate the NPC's dialogue.

In practice

• Until there's a fix, the simplest workaround is to keep your quest log below 20 active quests before approaching the Defias Traitor or Corporal Keeshan — right at that threshold the quest starts accepting again.
• Per the player's description, the one who initiated the dialogue with the NPC didn't see the issue.
• The player's observations suggest the bug only affects escort quests.
