On Blizzard's European and American forums, players are calling for the anti-RMT policy announced at BlizzCon 2026 to be applied to streamers as well: while regular players are punished for buying gold, gold transfers happen live on streams and the accounts remain active.

During the open beta of World of Warcraft: Forever, discussions with almost the same thesis appeared on Blizzard's official forums — both European and American: the anti-RMT policy that the team announced at BlizzCon 2026 (September 12) is currently being applied selectively.

In two nearly parallel threads, players demand that Blizzard apply the promised measures to streamers as well. As examples, they cite screenshots and videos from Reddit that captured gold transfers happening during livestreams and 2,000-gold purchases from sellers to enter the 30-player Duel Tournament. On the European forum, the author writes: if Blizzard is truly fighting gold buying and bots, the rules must apply equally to everyone — "otherwise it's the same double standard that's been around for years".

On the European forum, the author explicitly demands to "put the new principle into practice" — reaching not only the "average Joe" who is punished for buying gold, but also those who set the example for the audience. On the American forum, the argument is the same: "if Blizzard doesn't punish streamers for buying gold on stream, it's a green light for everyone else".

Both threads have so far gathered only 1–2 posts from each author, but the argument repeats almost word for word — which makes the conversation stand out against the backdrop of the beta.

• The Forever anti-RMT policy was promised by Blizzard at BlizzCon 2026 (September 12). Until release (November 4, 2026, 23:00 UTC), Blizzard has not announced any sanctions against specific streamers — the conversation remains at the level of public pressure.
