Following player requests, Blizzard confirmed that World of Warcraft: Forever will bring back the iconic druid Kyle in Mulgore and the tauren paladin Ahab Wheathoof in Thunder Bluff. Neither NPC was in the original Classic — now they're being added back.

During interactions with players in the open beta period (17.09–21.10.2026), community manager Kaivax twice briefly confirmed the work:

• Kyle. A player asked to make an exception and bring this NPC back, despite his placement in the Classic timeline. Kaivax replied that the team is working on it and asked players to "stay tuned for updates."
• Ahab Wheathoof. A player noted that this character should be in Forever. Kaivax answered the same — "we're working on it" and "stay tuned for updates."

Both replies appeared on the same day — September 28, 2026. This date falls between the start of the open beta (September 17) and the general launch (November 4, 2026, 23:00 UTC). Neither Kyle nor Ahab Wheathoof was in World of Warcraft: Classic.

For players, both NPCs are more than just scenery. They are tied to quest chains that veterans remember: Kyle's druid quest line and Ahab's paladin quest line for taurens. Blizzard hasn't revealed the exact rewards and quest steps yet — details will appear closer to when these NPCs are added.
