The developers have delivered on their promise: Ahab Wheathoof and his quest have arrived in the Forever beta. In the original game, the quest was only added in The Burning Crusade, and it was authored and voiced by a young player, Ezra Chatterton.

In a fresh World of Warcraft: Forever beta build, Ahab Wheathoof has appeared with his quest "Kyle's Gone Missing!". The developers have delivered on a promise they made to players earlier.

The quest was absent from the beta from the start for a reason: in the original game it was only added in patch 2.1.2 for The Burning Crusade, while Forever is based on an earlier version of the game. Now the quest has been brought back separately — along with the tauren himself.

The quest has a special story behind it. Ahab Wheathoof was created and voiced by Ezra Chatterton, a young WoW fan who took part in a make-a-wish program; Kyle, the one you have to find, is also his creation. Quest designer Johnny Cash shared the news of the quest's return: it was an honor and a privilege for him to add "Kyle's Gone Missing!" to Forever, and by his own words, he couldn't hold back tears while working on it. "Rest in peace, Ezra," he wrote in closing.
