In the World of Warcraft: Forever beta, before a player is moved to a new zone layer, a five-minute warning fires with a 'Reload Now' button — in Classic WoW the transfer happened instantly and without warning.

Each zone's world in Forever is split into layers: when a location gets too crowded, the server moves some of the players to a less loaded layer. In Classic WoW this happened without asking — in the middle of combat, while turning in a quest, or on a narrow bridge.

In the Forever beta, testers discovered a new interface: as the transfer approaches, a notification appears in chat with a five-minute countdown, and next to the chat window sits a 'Reload Now' button. Players can choose: either wait for the automatic transfer, or move to the new layer right away as soon as the warning shows up.

The warning itself changes how you behave in zones: if you know you'll be moved soon, you can step back to the edge of the map, enter a dungeon, or mount up so you don't end up mid-transfer at an awkward moment.
