In Forever players await LFG and worry about the language barrier
01.10.2026On r/classicwow and the Russian-language Blizzard forum, players discuss whether Forever will ship with the familiar group-finding tool and whether Russian-speaking players will end up cut off from English-speaking ones.
With every new World of Warcraft branch, players ask the same question: will the game have an LFG (Looking for Group) — an automatic dungeon finder. For Forever, which is scheduled to release on 4 November 2026 at 23:00 UTC (18:00 EST), this question is already being raised on the English-language Reddit and on the Russian-language Blizzard forum.
On r/classicwow, the thread "Will WoW Forever have LFG tool at launch?" has sparked a discussion about whether players should expect the familiar retail-style finder or whether Forever will remain true to the old approach — putting a group together by hand via general chat.
The Russian-language forum adds a practical angle. A player on eu.forums.blizzard.com describes what they see in the beta (running from 17 September to 21 October 2026): English- and Chinese-speaking characters running around, German in general chat, and two Russian-speaking players sitting in LFG in the evening. The author's conclusion: if at launch the servers are merged by region the same way as in beta, Russian-speaking players will be cut off from English-speaking ones in LFG and putting a dungeon group together will become noticeably harder.
There are no official Blizzard responses in either thread: neither about the presence of LFG in Forever at launch, nor about how servers will be arranged by region and language.
In practice
- If you're counting on automatic group finder in Forever — for now that's a question, not a fact: there's no official information.
- In the beta, according to player observations, the language split in LFG is already noticeable. If it remains at launch, it's worth finding a Russian-speaking guild in advance — putting a group together through friends will be easier than through the public LFG.
- If a comfortable LFG with a large pool of English-speaking players is critical for you — keep an eye on official Blizzard announcements before the 4 November release.
