In the World of Warcraft: Forever beta build, a skill available only to mages has been discovered — Comprehension. The descriptions of related items state it directly: only a mage can decipher a scroll with a conditional name, and other classes have no access to this mechanic.

Three abilities and items

The skill unlocks three spells: "Decipher Scroll", "Research", and "Study". The game already has items in the "Scroll: …" format with conditional names — they trigger at certain Comprehension thresholds. The higher the skill, the more manuscripts become available to the mage.

For now, this is data from the September 19, 2026 beta build: the Forever beta has been running since September 17, and players have managed to parse part of the game's tables.
