The feed picked up patch 12.1 hotfix notes covering the Unholy Death Knight buff, mage Shadow and Frost changes, Evokers, Mountain Thane, Blood nerfs, PvP tuning, and the Poisoned Abyss raid — all of it concerns World of Warcraft: Midnight, not Forever. What this changes for Forever players is almost nothing: our builds and dungeons are patched on a separate cycle.

Between September 22 and 24, 2026, hotfix notes for patch 12.1 surfaced online: a 12% Unholy Death Knight single-target buff from a bug fix, Shadow and Frost mage changes, Evoker tuning, Mountain Thane (Protection Warrior) adjustments, Blood nerfs, PvP tuning, and a mention of the «Poisoned Abyss» raid. All of it belongs to the World of Warcraft: Midnight branch — not Forever.

Forever is currently in beta (September 17 – October 21, 2026), and its balance lives on its own patch cycle. Anything that does show up in shared hotfix lists is either retail Midnight or general infrastructure that has nothing to do with our classes and dungeons.
