Blizzard raised the beta concurrent player cap for Forever and fixed the post-disconnect queue
27.09.2026On 27 September 2026, Blizzard fixed a login bug on the Forever beta and raised the simultaneous connection cap — both landed on the same day.
The World of Warcraft: Forever beta is breathing easier: on 27 September 2026, Blizzard raised the concurrent player cap and patched a nasty bug that was throwing players into the queue after a disconnect. Both pieces of news landed on the same day — the queue fix went out in the morning, the capacity bump followed in the afternoon.
What actually happened
In the morning, community manager Kaivax wrote in a blue post that the team had tracked down the cause of the queue filling up on its own. Blizzard did not share details about the nature of the bug and shipped a fix.
About an hour later, Holly Longdale announced on social media that the concurrent connection cap had been raised — not for the first time during the beta window. Blizzard did not disclose the size of the new step.
Why this is a sore spot
The Forever beta runs from 17.09–21.10.2026, and before 27 September Blizzard had already raised the cap. After a disconnect, the queue could fill up again from scratch. That's why the "fix + expansion" combo on a single day are directly connected.
What this means for you
- If you were stuck in queue or hit a disconnect today — try logging in again: the fix is already live.
- The beta window runs until 21.10.2026, and this isn't the first cap bump during the beta.
