During the Forever beta, players found the Savory Whimsyfin Delight, which transformed the character into a murloc or ogre. Blizzard clarified: the effect was a temporary placeholder, and now the dish transforms you into orcish ninja and pirate costumes instead of murloc and ogre.

Savory Whimsyfin Delight is Forever's take on Savory Deviate Delight, which in the regular game turns the character into a ninja or pirate. Players expected the new food to work the same way, but in Forever's data the transformation turned out different — into a murloc or ogre. The community dug through it quickly, and the recipe drew a lot of attention. Blizzard then clarified: the murloc and ogre transformations were a temporary placeholder, not an intentional mechanic.

Blizzard said in a Bluesky post on October 1: "The previous transformations were temporary placeholders, but we may reintroduce similar ones in the future." Right now, eating the Savory Whimsyfin Delight gives you the orcish version of the ninja and pirate costumes — the same as Savory Deviate Delight, but styled for the Horde. "May reintroduce" isn't a promise that murlocs and ogres are coming back anytime soon, just a note that Blizzard isn't closing off the idea of such transformations.
