Blizzard opens Scarlet Monastery–themed escape room in Toronto
25.09.2026To mark the launch of World of Warcraft: Forever, Blizzard has announced an offline escape room inspired by the Scarlet Monastery dungeon in Toronto (October 8–11) and a stream show called 'Escape Together' featuring a Horde vs Alliance showdown (October 23).
As the launch of World of Warcraft: Forever approaches, Blizzard has announced an offline escape room inspired by the Scarlet Monastery dungeon and a stream show called 'Escape Together' with a Horde vs Alliance battle. You can visit from October 8 to 11, and watch the show on October 23.
The theme choice is no coincidence: Scarlet Monastery is one of the most recognizable dungeons of early World of Warcraft, where players first ran into the Scarlet Crusade. Until the Forever launch (general release — November 4, 2026, 23:00 UTC / November 5, 02:00 MSK) just over a month remains.
Where and when to play yourself
- When: October 8–11, 2026
- Where: Escape Manor, King Street, Toronto, Ontario
- Tickets: on the Escape Manor website, the booking page is already open
The quest is built for a party of friends — Blizzard invites you to gather your group and try to beat the clock and conquer Scarlet Monastery.
'Escape Together' show
Friday, October 23, 2026 — on the official Warcraft channels on Twitch and YouTube, the 'Escape Together' stream kicks off. The format: two teams (Horde vs Alliance) work through a series of one-on-one challenges, and in the finale they take on the escape room together as a shared trial. Blizzard has not yet named the exact broadcast time or team lineups — the streamer names and schedule are promised for later.
What this means for you
- If you're in the Toronto area on October 8–11, you have a chance to run 'Scarlet Monastery' in real life. Tickets are sold separately.
- If you're not in Toronto — watch the show on October 23: it's one of the public events leading up to the Forever launch.
- Blizzard hasn't shared any details on how the event ties into the game itself — this is launch promo, not seasonal content.
