The community wiki briefly added two Skyborne branches to the elven race tree, marked as Forever content. Blizzard hasn't announced anything, and some of the edits were already rolled back.

The community has updated the open elven race tree: two new groups appeared under the shared name Skyborne — Windshaper Skyborne and High Order Skyborne. Both are tagged Forever. But they sit in different places in the tree: Windshaper Skyborne (SKB) is on the night elf branch via the Highborne, while High Order Skyborne (SB) sits next to high elves, naga and Nightborne, on the branch coming from the sand trolls.

A few hours later, part of the edits was rolled back: Windshaper Skyborne was removed from the night elf branch. High Order Skyborne stayed — it was reworked, with the icons and the 'High Order' prefix removed: in the tree it now simply sits as 'Skyborne' with a Forever tag.

No description, abilities or starting zone appeared in the wiki — just the race icons and the name.

At the same time, on Blizzard's official forum, players are arguing which elves Forever needs. In one of the threads, they suggest making high elves playable on the Alliance side instead of blood elves, and giving the Horde the Amani trolls with Zul'Aman as a hub city instead of a future raid. This is a player wish, not an announcement.
